Customer Testimonials

Whilst the hotel wasn't exactly as we were expecting, we wanted to commend the staff, particularly in the restaurant. Although mainly young they were a caring, and thoughtful team who weren't patronising or presuming. We came away touched by the kindness we'd seen them give to others. Mr Mrs B Iverson

My husband, daughter and I spent the night of Saturday 20 October in your delightful hotel and I just wanted to say what a great experience it was. We had a fabulous time and your staff are excellent and obviously at the top of their profession. The food in the restaurant surpassed our expectations and made the slightly long wait for it well worth the while (even my impatient hubby was impressed!) Mrs Anne Howard

I first started toing to Cliffden on 8 April 2004. I fell in love with the hotel straight away. I have friends nearby, and it is an excellent location. What I love about the Cliffden is that there is so much to do. One of the waiting staff has a pop band which plays in the summer house. They play a lot of modern music. The food is excellent, the service is excellent, minutes from the town from the green gate at the bottom of the grounds, lively, f antastic, comfortable and luxurious. Discos, quizes, karaoke nights and so on. You couldn't wish for anything else. I go to Devon with relatives some times, but Finding Cliffden, it is out of this world. Cliffden deserves 10 out of 10. I shall be coming back for the New Year. I have two wonderful friends who go there, and will be spending time with them. There is no place like Cliffden. Kelly Muggeridge (Miss) Ms Kelly Muggeridge

  • Tell us More: The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We had a lovely view over the gardens and the sea. The bedding was good quality and also the towels which were changed every day. Breakfast choice was very good, I particularly enjoyed smoked haddock and poached egg one morning. We had dinner at the hotel 3 nights choosing the daily menu, which was good value for money and nicely serv ed. The only small niggle was the shower which was vey small! We will certainly visit the hotel again and recommend the Cliffden to anyone.

  • Tell us More: I had to take an unexpected short trip to see a sick family member in Teignmouth and chose The Cliffden to stay. I took it as it was the closest to where I needed to be. I was so pleased I did, as it was a great place to stay. Yes it caters for a lot of visually impaired people and has lots of guide dogs too but the staff do an excellent job of making sure all guests are looked after very well indeed. The room was clean, tidy and although a little basic was well presented and freshly decorated. The food was good with a lot of choice. I would recommend a stay here and would use the hotel again. A big thank you to all the staff as their hard work makes it a place you want to go back to. Big Thumbs Up
